Eastern Dandenong Ranges Association – EDRA is a community based not for profit association. EDRA represents two subcommittee entities, The Local Voice News Magazine for Eastern Dandenong Ranges and the Eastern Dandenong Ranges Business & Tourism Group – EDRBT.
Along with its two subcommittees, EDRA supports and partners Community Groups in the Eastern Dandenong Ranges region with projects and promotion.
EDRA’s mission is to support any and all local business and community groups through promoting the goods and services and attributes of our region.
EDRA’s vision for the Eastern Dandenong Ranges to be recognised as a destination and sense of place to live, work, enjoy, visit, stay and prosper.
The Eastern Dandenong Ranges Business & Tourism & The Local Newspaper focus is to promote business & tourism operators in our local corridor and surrounds through destination marketing of the hills region. EDRBT & The Local Newspaper are complimentary to each other and together aim to develop a stronger shared identity and narrative for the Eastern Dandenong Ranges that will strengthen the community and establish a ‘destination brand’ for the region.
EDRA markets and promotes its charter, structure and initiatives for the Eastern Dandenong Ranges at a local, state, and International level including Cardinia & Yarra Ranges Councils and Yarra Ranges Tourism, the Regional Tourism Board responsible for the promotion of Victoria’s Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges tourism. At a local level EDRA supports it community groups and clubs in our region. Community Group members are offered to provide quarterly editorial in The Local to promote their activities and events. EDRA can auspice grants and provide insurance for non incorporated community groups & clubs to hold events. See our Community Groups page for more information.
